The shape of things to come if the Gitmo bashers get there wish:
Suicide Bombers were released from Gitmo
Associated Press September 27, 2006
The 6 suicide bombers who detonated their explosives in 6 of the largest shopping malls across the United States were released from Guantanomo Bay prison. Outraged Democratic leaders are demanding a full investigation of the release of the detainees. The bombings which took place on the 5th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001 on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon sent shockwaves through the country. Many are suggesting that the lapse in judgment of the Bush Administration led to the detainees being released.
Majority Leader Harry Reid said, " the failure of this administration once again to hold the terrorists shows the utter incompetence that this country has been subject to for the duration of his term". Richard Durbin echoed those comments with " Once again, this administration has let the country down in releasing what appear to be extremely dangerous elements back into society."
The bombings, which killed 3,834 shoppers at six of the largest shopping malls, have put the November 7th elections into a tailspin as voters want answers and accountability of the attacks.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I may be alone in my thinking, but this may be the ideal scenario for the Democrats at this point. Is this the wish? Is this what they hope to see. If this scenario does indeed take place..you will notice..not one mention of the "abuse", of the "torture"...President Bush is steadfast in his approach to terror and the terrorists. I thank God every day for that vigilance.

Runaway Brides
I am torn as to how I really feel about this bimbo. First I was one of the few who figured out pretty quick she was not abducted..too close to the marriage...saw the pictures..knew she was a little eccentric..call it a gut feeling, but the media jumped all over it, fiancé was questioned, people saying he must have done it, the world was worried..then they find her...or she found us and it reminded me of a child lost in a store. You wander around frantic, crying, worried and as soon as you find the child , you beat their ass for wandering off...she is a nut...give her a break and go on with life.
Father Kills Child and Friend
This I cannot even fathom? What possibly could be the motive here and what could 2 little girls have done to spark that kind of rage. I will be watching the next few days, and I cant wait to see the excuse they have for this. No matter what this dude should be fired..no in depth study is required. When someone goes to jail for chasing people around with a friggin chainsaw...that should set off alarms....there is no time off for good behavior...and what the hell did the mom let him back into their home for? You cant cure violent behavior...you can only find ways to mask it..when will we learn that as a society?
more later...

Racism?
I kind of promised myself I would not go into rants about petty things and racism is one of the things I consider petty. I am not a racist. Never have been...never will be ...everyone gets a even start with me. I do however take exception to how racism seems to find its way into every problem.,..unless of course the racism is directed at whites.
This is not racism ...more on this here
This is not racism
This is racism?????
somehow...this is fast becoming a race issue.
The whole country has spent the last few weeks in mourning of 2 girls in Florida that were abducted and killed by child molesters. The fact the killers and victims are both white makes that nothing more than a sick crime. Had the girls been of color..would it be a racial killing?
Until we start stopping evil people of any color from attacking others don't let anyone off with a free pass. If it is obvious it is a race/hate crime...go after with both barrels. WHEN IT IS APPARENT! Dont buy into the race card unless you see it with open eyes and see racism no matter who is perpetrating it.
don't make 2 sets of rules for how you view a crime.
And for god sakes...dont be sucked into believing there is a race aspect to everything just because you read it.
Now you know something that drives me frigging crazy!

In Dreams...
Requested to post some poetry ...so ...
damn
the moments
tick by
in anticipation
the thoughts of you
overwhelm
the thoughts of the day
in a glimpse of you
I see the future
so bright
so knowing
I anticipate your touch
your lips
your love
and I gain strength
your smile
like spinach to aching bones
invigorates
and lays waste
to the stresses and benign forces
that tear ones soul
all I need is you
my cure
my elixir
my one
and with your kiss
I will realize
dreams
are not unfounded
but before me
in living color
damn
the moments
tick by
in anticipation
the thoughts of you
overwhelm

Neurotics and Happiness
Over the last year I have been reading of a life so much different from mine. So far away and with such uncertainity that I became almost addicted to se the words. I watched a person who started out as a blogger to ease her worries and anxieties about her husband turn into a great writer. Her emotion and flow made my heart race on more than one occasion. I came to know her though words and shared the emotions she would let out for all to see. Now, my friend will finally leave to see her husband and spend time with him. While sad the words will be missed and will be far between postings, I am nevertheless happy and thrilled for her. I hope someday she geths the courage (if she has not already) to show her husband the words she wrote in the time they were apart . He would see the love that poured out in words and no she never thought of anything in life but loving him. I wish her the best and hope she wil know the inspiration she gives. I encourage all to read her archives. Thanks NIW and good luck!

Benedict XVI
So the name is ....
Benedict the 16th...I was kind of shocked that he did not take the name John Paul III. The man was for all intent and purposes the voice of the pope the last 6-7 years of his life, as well as his closest confidante for most of his papal tenure. I don't have a problem with this pope. I think he will continue on the ideology that JP II has put forth and that is at least steady.
I was surprised at how quickly the media jumped on the poor guy. Less than 13 minutes after he was elected the AP runs the tagline " Controversial Ratzinger elected Pope"
The Sun "From Hitler Youth to Papa Ratzi"
The Daily Telegraph "Gods Rottweiler"
I listened to the homily on the way to work this morning and I heard nothing that would indicate anything but reconciliation. He sounded humbled by the honor and I think time is the only judge of how he will perform his duties.
Look for the nasty word "conservative" to be used a lot in the next few days.
I wish him the best and hope he is not made impotent by the coverage and criticism. He helped create the legacy of John Paul II. Lets see if he can lead as well.
Update: This may explain some of the negativity. More Hate here.

Awakening?

Always awakening...life always interrupts what you see as what should be I think. Lets get a couple of things out of the way first.
Went to my first Washington Nationals game on Sunday. Is nice to see the start of a fan base. Trying so hard to be supportive, yet not knowing if this team is for real a mere 10 games into the season. I do know that for me it was special. To see RFK in a baseball format I was fairly impressed. Of course, I was watching the ESPN coverage last night (the first loss at home) and they had cameras pointing out every little thing that is wrong with the stadium. Typical DC bias I think. There is so much good to talk about with this team and they instead showed a panel that had fallen with a trash can hidden behind it. Then proceeded to drone on about it for what seemed like forever. I think the time could have been better suited to talk about the off day catcher...who was having a monster day behind the plate and a pretty good day at the plate.
Spring cleaning?...what the hell is that? My house is a complete wreck right now for "spring cleaning". Maybe someone can explain why it takes more than 2 days to do this, but it is going on 2 weeks now and I don't see any cleaning taking place. Just piles of crap everywhere.
I hope I have some mind altering revelations to write about...for now ...I will try to keep the posts coming as they come to me ...and hope some brilliance will eventually shine through..

DC Baseball
Finally finally finally....DC has a baseball team. This is a special time for me as I approach "middle age"? I was born and raised in the DC area and have never known a local team. The Senators left when I was about 9 years old. My father never took me to a game and at the time I don't recall if they were ever even on TV. I do recall vaguely when they left and how much people were mad, even my father used to get all indignant about the fact they left. I found that curious since he never went to a game and never really talked about it too much. Perhaps if the people who were complaining had supported the team they would have been here and I would not have grown without that joy growing up.
I am well aware of the Baltimore Orioles, but if you cant get someone to take you to a game within 20 minutes...how in the hell do you expect to go 90 minutes away! In 1984 I got cable TV for the first time. I believe it was August and I had just had surgery and was laying on the couch using the remote...flipping through the 18 !!!! channels we had now. Lo and behold I stumbled upon my first Chicago Cubs game. You may think...so what...but this was a pretty special day for me ...some may say it transformed my life..on that day I found what would become an obsession for the next 20 years and I would see who would become my greatest hero calling the game. I happened to tune in when President Reagan was doing the play by play for 2 innings. I was surprised and wondered ...why the hell is the President doing play by play...which sent me into finding out more about him. I always hated him, not knowing why..I just heard my father complain....all the Union guys I worked with complain, but I did not pay attention. I decided at that time ...he could not be all bad and I DID start listening. More on that some other time...
So, baseball is back. My son will know what is like to follow a losing team, will know what its like to support a team that breaks your heart many time. He will remember the first home run he sees. He will remember a great play he saw. And, maybe, just maybe he will know the joy of seeing 25 guys play their hearts out one year and bring home a championship and make him proud.
Welcome home guys...

In the beginning....
Hello all...with inspiration from all around the world and an inane desire to just write, I finally set this thing up. For over a year I have read many many blogs and ama always amazed at the different styles of writers out there. I am a poet, I do not consider myself a writer. With that said, I am going to enter this realm for a while and see if my rants of life and love can somehow transform me.
So...with all that said...welcome to my blog...will learn how to do links within my post...will try and keep it interesting,.,,,and hope in this I may get some to look at my website and maybe enjoy some of my poetry
